What is a Vision Board?

It's a visual reminder of where you’re headed and who you are becoming, and when guided by prayer and Scripture, it becomes more than a motivational collage, it becomes a faith-filled declaration.

“Lord, here’s what I see. Here’s what I hope. But Your will be done.”

It’s not about controlling the outcome. It’s about having clarity and courage to walk where He’s leading, even when it’s unfamiliar.

When to Make a Vision Board

• In a new season (marriage, motherhood, job changes)

• When you feel stuck or uninspired

• At the start of a year or quarter

• When you need fresh vision from the Lord

You don’t need a perfect life to make one, you just need a willing heart.

Why Should Christian Women Create One?

1. Clarity in Calling – When life gets busy, it’s easy to lose sight of the bigger picture. A vision board helps you keep your God-given calling in view.
   

2. Faith Activation – Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that “faith is the substance of things hoped for.” Seeing your vision daily increases your faith and expectancy.
   

3. Intentional Living – A God-centered vision board inspires you to live intentionally, not by accident, and to align your plans with God’s heart.

3 Things to Include on Your Christ-Centered Vision Board

1. Kingdom-Focused Desires
   What does God want to do through you? Think beyond self; how can your business, family, or influence reflect His glory?
   

2. Scriptural Anchors
   Let the Word of God be your foundation. If you’re praying for peace, include Isaiah 26:3. Believing for a breakthrough? Add Micah 2:13.
   

3. Reminders of Your Identity in Christ
   You are chosen. You are loved. You are equipped. Let your board remind you who you are, especially on the days you forget.

Let God Shape the Vision

When God gives a vision, He also gives provision. The process of creating your board becomes an invitation to lay your desires at His feet and say, “Lord, I trust You to lead me into the fullness of what You have for me.”

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

You just have to start with Him.

How to Create a Vision Board That Honors God

1. Start with Prayer
   Ask God to reveal His desires for your life this season. What does He want you to pursue; spiritually, emotionally, relationally, professionally?
   

2. Write the Vision (Habakkuk 2:2)
   Journal your dreams and goals. Don't limit yourself. Think spiritually (growth, prayer life), relationally (marriage, friendships), and practically (health, finances, career).
   

3. Gather Scriptures
   Find verses that match your goals. For example:

   • For growth: “I can do all things through Christ…” (Philippians 4:13)
     

   • For boldness: “The righteous are as bold as a lion.” (Proverbs 28:1)
     

4. Collect Visuals
   Print or cut out pictures, words, and quotes that represent what you wrote down. Use magazines, Pinterest, or personal photos.
   

5. Create with Worship
   As you assemble your board, play worship music. Make it a moment of surrender and faith.
   

6. Display and Pray Daily
   Put your board where you’ll see it. Let it be a prayer point and a reminder to trust and obey God in every area.
   

Living Fulfilled Starts with Seeing It First

You were created for more than just survival. God’s plans for you are rich with promise, but He often invites us to partner with Him through vision.

When you create a vision board anchored in Scripture, you’re not chasing empty dreams, you’re aligning your heart with heaven’s blueprint.

So take the time. Set apart a quiet hour. Light a scented candle. Get your Bible and some paper. And start dreaming with God again.
